We are a book subscription company, based in New Zealand. We offer the following subscriptions:

-        For Adults – receive a best seller, new release or classic novel each month, hand-picked for you based on your interests. 

-        For Young Adults – receive 1 - 2 books each month, hand-picked especially for the young adult in your life, based on their age and interests.

-        For Children – receive 2 - 3 books each month, hand-picked especially for the child in your life, based on their age group.

We are a group of book-a-holics from across New Zealand. Reading is our passion and our aim is to deliver some of the best books from local and international authors to you, based on your interests. 

We are based in New Zealand. We often include New Zealand authors in our boxes, particularly in our Children and Young Adult boxes.

Because we are local you can expect quick and reliable delivery and no hidden fees i.e GST or taxes.

We source our books both locally and internationally. The books we send to you are either new or pre-loved (but in excellent condition, with no marks etc).

Once you've selected a box, on the "cart" page we ask you more about you, including you interests and hobbies. Based on your answers, we then choose which books we think you'd be most likely to enjoy, using our extensive book knowledge! We are always happy to receive feedback, so if there's anything you think we should change or, if you think we're doing well, send us an email at hello@bookbox.co.nz.

You can choose from 1 month (one-off), 3 month, 6 month or 12 month subscriptions to any of our boxes.

Subscriptions are also available to purchase as a gift for someone else, or as gift vouchers.

Simply select which subscription you’d like and add it to your cart. On the cart page you will need to complete a form which asks about your interests and hobbies – this will help us choose the right books especially for you! Then, pay by credit card and you are successfully subscribed.  

If you are buying a subscription as a gift and know the person well, you can purchase a subscription for them and give us their details and interests. If you are unsure or don’t know the person well enough, you can purchase a gift voucher instead.

All boxes are shipped on the 20^th of each month and will arrive at your door within 3 – 5 working days (rural delivery may take longer).

You can either give it to a family member or friend to read, or return it, free of charge. Just send as an email at hello@bookbox.co.nz to exchange your book.

All of our boxes are tracked and require a signature upon arrival, so we can easily track where your box is. If your box doesn’t arrive, send us an email at hello@bookbox.co.nz.
